MFC(Melamine faced chipboard)
or Woodgrain Effect Information
One of the main components in furniture
production is melamine faced chipboard. It's produced based
on chipboard faced with special laminate materials.
There are some ways of chipboard facing:
- Paper-tarred films facing.
- Paper-laminated plastic facing.
- Polymer film facing.
- Organic veneer sheet facing.
- Facing with paint, varnish, phenolformaldehyde resin etc.
The surface of melamine faced chipboard may be smooth or
imitate the relief of wood grain or pearl. There is a variety
of colors and textures. Melamine faced chipboard is extremely
resistant to high temperature and household chemical goods.
It is used as a decorative product for furniture and interior
applications.
MFC products rely on a resin impregnated decorative paper,
either plain coloured or printed, to achieve the required
colour or pattern.
Melamine Faced products have the decorative papers directly
pressed to the surfaces of a core material. Most commonly
the core is either chipboard, resulting in the product known
as MFC, or MDF, resulting in the product known as MFMDF.
Mirror Door Lacquer cleaning guide
- To clean lacquer wall units and wardrobes, use only a
damp cloth on lacquer doors and sides
- Do not use any furniture polish or cleaners with ammonia
base. Mica cleaner may be used on side panels and shelves
only. Cleaning of mirror backs and mirror doors is also
very important.
- Cleaning solution should be mild, and should not contain
ammonia, vinegar, bleach, or solvents.
- Cleaning solutions should be sprayed on a clean cloth.
Do not spray directly on mirror. Spraying directly on mirror
can allow the cleaning solution to run down or behind the
mirror and cause discoloration.
